Paramore

Paramore

Paramore is a pop rock band from Franklin, TN. Band members include: lead vocalist Hayley Williams, lead guitarist Josh Farro, bassist Jeremy Davis, and drummer Zac Farro. Taylor York plays rhythm guitar during performances. At the age of 13, Williams moved from her hometown of Meridian, Mississippi to Tennessee, where she met brothers, Josh and Zac Farro. Prior to forming Paramore, Williams and bassist Jeremy Davis took part in a funk cover band called the Factory. Paramore officially came together in 2004. The name Paramore came from a friend of the bands mothers maiden name, and after finding the meaning of the same-sounding word paramour (secret lover), the band took up the name Paramore. Jimmy Eat World and Sunny Day Real Estate are considered to be two of their main influences.

Paramore - Discography

1. All We Know Is Falling (2005)
Paramore - All We Know Is Falling (2005)
All We Know Is Falling is the debut studio album by Paramore, released on July 26, 2005. According to Paramore's A&R at Atlantic Records, Steve Robertson, instead of giving the debut album a major radio promotional push, he believed the band should start small and slowly build through word of mouth. In his words, Robertson "wanted kids to discover the band without it being shoved down their throats." As stated by singer Hayley Williams, the shadow on the sofa on the album art is meant to represent current bassist Jeremy Davis leaving the band. Davis temporarily left the band shortly after arriving in Orlando, Florida to record the album. Davis stated that he immediately regretted leaving and was overjoyed when the band asked him back shortly after the album's release. His departure had a large impact on the band, inspiring the song "All We Know", and thus the title of the album, "All We Know Is Falling". As of July 2010, the album had sold a total of around 528,000 copies in the United States. In September 2005, a special Japanese edition containing the previously unreleased "Oh, Star" was made available.

2. Riot! (2007)
Paramore - Riot! (2007)
Riot! is the second studio album by Paramore, succeeding their debut album All We Know Is Falling, and was released in the United States on June 12, 2007 and in the United Kingdom on June 25, 2007. The album was certified Platinum in The US by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and in Ireland by Irish Recorded Music Association, and Gold in the UK. Riot! produced 3 singles: "Misery Business", "Crushcrushcrush" and "That's What You Get". "Misery Business" is included in the video games Saints Row 2, NHL 08, Rock Band 3 and Guitar Hero World Tour (the latter featuring a computer-generated replica of lead vocalist Hayley Williams), while "That's What You Get" is included as a playable song on Rock Band 2. "Crushcrushcrush" is featured on Guitar Hero On Tour: Decades and is available as a downloadable track for play on the three Rock Band games. A cover version of the song is also featured on the game Ultimate Band. The album cover also resembles the cover artwork of No Doubt's album Rock Steady. Riot went Platinum on July 11, 2008.

The album was produced by David Bendeth. Lead vocalist, Hayley Williams, explained the album was called Riot! because, "For us, the title ‘Riot!’ literally means an unbridled outburst of emotions. When we were writing, it seemed like our thoughts and emotions were coming out so fast that we couldn't control them. It felt like there was a riot within us. So the album takes our passion to a new level; it’s just all raw energy.

3. Brand New Eyes (2009)
Paramore - Brand New Eyes (2009)
Brand New Eyes is the third album by Paramore, released September 29, 2009 through Fueled by Ramen in the United States and Canada. It debuted at number two on Billboard 200. The album was produced by Rob Cavallo and recorded in Hidden Hills, California from January to March, 2009. It topped the charts in many countries across the world including Australia, New Zealand, Ireland and the United Kingdom, making it the band's highest charting album to date. The album was certified gold by the RIAA on January 19, 2010 for shipments in excess of 500,000 albums. It was certified platinum in the UK for selling shipments exceeding 300,000 and in Ireland for exceeding 15,000 shipments. The album won Best Album at the Kerrang! Awards 2010. Brand New Eyes is the last album recorded by Paramore before Josh and Zac Farro left the band.

Paramore - All Lyric Song

Paramore - Throwing Punches

Throwing Punches

There's an empty room
At the end of the hall
And it's begging to
Swallow you whole

Paramore - Use Somebody

Use Somebody
(Originally by Kings Of Leon)

I've been roaming around
Always looking down at all I see
Painted faces fill the places I can't reach

Paramore - You Ain't Woman Enough

You Ain't Woman Enough
(Originally by Loretta Lynn)

You call to tell me something
You say I oughta know
That he don't love me anymore
And I have to let him go
You say you're gonna take him
Oh but I don't think you can
Because you ain't woman enough to take my man

Paramore - Teenagers

Teenagers

I'm gonna go on
Livin' like I never met you.
And it'll feel wrong at first.
But I think I can forget you.

Paramore - Swim In Silence

Swim In Silence

Meet me here beneath the burning skies
Where the ocean comes and takes us from all of our lies
You never said that you were coming back
I have waited although I have found the place you hide

Paramore - Stay Away

Stay Away

Your lies are bleeding through your teeth
Your eyes, the only one thing in me
Your promises never really meant a thing
But they float from your lips so easily

Paramore - Renegade

Renegade

And the grass wasn’t green enough here
After watering it with my tears
I’m not sure where you went
Now we are just past tense
And the snakes, they are slithering in
Chasing me to my end
I can’t say where that is
I’m running again

Paramore - My Number One

My Number One

You're my number one (you're my number one),
You're my golden star,
I look at Earth from here,
Still you don't seem so far,

Paramore - Monster

Monster

You were my conscience, so solid, now you're like water
And we started drowning, not like we'd sink any further
But I let my heart go, it's somewhere down at the bottom
But I'll get a new one and come back for the hope that you've stolen

Paramore - Love's Not A Competition

Love's Not A Competition (But I'm Winning)
(Originally by Kaiser Chiefs)

Well I won't be the one to disappoint you, anymore
And I know I said all this so that you heard it all before
The trick is getting you to think that all this is your idea
And that it is everything you've ever wanted out of here

Paramore - Long Distance Call

Paramore - Long Distance Call
(Originally by Phoenix)

Where to go I had no idea
26.10 was the price to pay
A messed up kid with no ideals at all
I thought those 26.10 I shouldn't give'em away

Paramore - Just Like Me

Just Like Me

I slipped down the stairs,
Tripped over your fragile ego,
I slid down the hallway,
Right into the web you'd woven,

Paramore - In The Mourning

In The Mourning

You escaped like a runaway train
Off the tracks and down again
And my heart's beating like a steam boat tugging all your burdens
On my shoulders

Paramore - I Caught Myself

I Caught Myself

Down to you
You're pushing and pulling me down to you
But I don't know what I
Now when I caught myself
I had to stop myself
From saying something
That I should've never thought
Now when I caught myself
I had to stop myself
From saying something
That I should've never thought of you of you

Paramore - Hello Hello

Hello Hello

Hello, hello?
Is anyone home?
Hello, hello?
Just pick up the phone

Paramore - Hello Cold World

Hello Cold World

[Verse 1:]
I feel happy, I feel sad, I feel like running through the walls
I'm overjoyed, I'm undecided, I don't know who I am
Well maybe I'm not perfect, at least I'm working on it
22 is like the worst idea that I've ever had
It's too much pain, it's too much freedom, what should I do with this?
It's not the way you plan it, it's how you make it happen
Yeah, it's how you make it happen
