Biography
This Los Angeles, California, USA band earned a reputation for guitar-orientated melodic rock, delivered with precision despite the blurring speed. Featuring Jeff Martin (vocals, ex-Surgical Steel), Paul Gilbert (Born 6 November 1966, Carbondale, Illinois, USA; guitar), John Alderete (bass) and Harry Gschoesser (drums, ex-Nobros) they released Street Lethal, a high-tech fusion of relentless guitarwork and some memorable songs. Scott Travis (ex-Hawk) took over the drumstool and Bruce Bouillet was added as a second guitarist in 1986. By the time Second Heat was issued the following year the band had matured considerably, with the music more accomplished on several levels, most notably in arrangement and production. Paul Gilbert left in 1988 to join Mr. Big, and was replaced by Chris Arvan. Jeff Martin broke ranks shortly afterwards and Scott Travis understandably accepted the offer to join his heroes, Judas Priest. The band ground to a halt in 1990.
