"She Will Be Loved" is the third single from debut album, Songs About Jane. Released in 2004. The single is noted for its music video which stars Kelly Preston.
The song is about the singers' love for a girl who is emotionally damaged and the relationship is forbidden as she's already spoken for but he can't ever leave her as he's so in love with her. When the band was commissioned to perform at the AFI Life Achievement Award ceremony for George Lucas, this song was chosen in tribute to Lucas' children, mainly his oldest daughter.
The song is also playable in rhythm game Band Hero in addition Levine also appears as a playable avatar in the game. It also appears in the 2010 film, The Last Song, and was included as track 10 of the movie's soundtrack.
